Huge Success!
Our first ever MagnaCon convention was a great success! Thanks to all those who attended. Fun was had, money was raised, games were played... all the important points were hit. Photos can be seen here. We're looking forward to the three day convention again in 2011, the dates for which will be announced later. For the rest of 2010, look for additional smaller MagnaCon charity gaming events throughout the year.
Preliminary details on our donations to the Whittier Community Center...
We are planning on furnishing the center with:
-In Focus projector ... to be used for community movie nights and classes.
-Audio system (for above)
-Game collection startup (for the community game group... we'll let you know what titles we select)
-More... stay tuned.
We've already been able to provide the Whittier Community Center with:
-30 folding chairs to be used for various community events
-Four 6 foot folding tables
-Two 8 foot folding tables
Beginning January 25th, the Whittier Community Center will be hosting a game night every Monday evening from 6PM until midnight. Please join us if you can!

We are working out the details of our contribution to the Food Bank of the Rockies and will post the results here shortly. We plan to make a significant donation of the items the the food bank is most in need of.
MagnaCon is a 100% volunteer run event of the Whittier Neighborhood Association, a 501(c)3 NonProfit Organization. All proceeds and donations from MagnaCon 2010 will benefit the Whittier Community Center and the Food Bank of the Rockies. Located two miles north of downtown Denver, the Whittier Community Center serves a diverse population of families. Whittier resident volunteers are in need of equipment to expand offerings at the Community Center to include movie nights, game days, classes and other programs.
