Upcoming Events!

Hot on the tail of our first ever MagnaCon are these two events coming in March 2010! Don't miss out:

GAME DESIGN SEMINAR WITH KEITH MEYERS
Saturday, March 6th 2010 9AM - 4PM
Whittier Community Center
2900 Downing Street, Denver CO

A generous portion of the class enrollment fees will benefit local charities.

SPECIAL: Enroll before Feb 20th and receive 10% off enrollment fee. After Feb 20th price will be $50 both online and at the door.

Is there a game prototype sitting in your closet, or just a game idea tucked in the back of your head? Come dust it off and find out how to turn your concept to cash. Attendees will get an insider's view of the industry and learn the steps necessary in licensing or self-publishing their board, card or party game ideas. Here are just some of the questions answered: what does my prototype have to look like?; should I self-publish or should I license my game?; how do I find game companies and how do I approach them?; does it cost much to get started and how much can I make?; how do I protect my ideas?; what does a license deal look like?

Course includes handouts. Enrolled students may buy the Paid to Play book at the discounted price through Keith's website, or buy it in class for the discounted rate.

NOTE: This class has been taught since 2000, and has resulted in dozens of games getting to market including In A Pickle (over 1 million sold!) and Word on the Street (Out of the Box's hot new title!). The past 2 winners of the TAGIE Rising Star award have taken my class. Maybe you could be next?

MINI MAGNA GAME NIGHT
Saturday, March 6th 2010 5PM - 1AM
Whittier Community Center
2900 Downing Street, Denver CO

At MiniMagna Game Night, check out the hottest new game, your all time favorite, or a true classic... there will be plenty to choose from. We'll have a dozen tables open on the gaming floor. This is an informal, social gaming event so feel free to drop in as your schedule allows and jump into a game.

If you're brand new to gaming, no fear... games will be taught in most cases. Bring a crate of favorite titles or check out what the organizers (and probably other gamers) have on hand for the evening.

A suggested minimum donation of $5 per gamer is payable at the door (by cash or check). All donations will benefit the Whittier Community Center and other local charities.
